students made photograms, chance double exposures and analogue darkroom interventions. objects were then bought from the market, made into cameras and then used to capture the market onto film. with a lot of determination and tweaking, a series of spooky, beautiful and unique pinhole photographs were created. ................................ 23.01.14 last night, to accompany a fish out of water at national glass centre, i had the pleasure of talking with john kippin , mike crang , paul alexander knox , carol mckay of the nepn and an engaged audience about the issues raised by the exhibition and the themes shared within our work. photo: dawn felicia knox ................................ 12.01.14 the debut solo outing of a fish out of water is currently showing at the national glass centre overlooking the river wear and sunderland docks. the show runs until february 23rd and includes previously unseen images along with an accompanying newspaper publication. ................................ 27.09.13 tomorrow sees the opening of you are the company in which you keep at the northern gallery for contemporary art in sunderland. i have 19 hand-prints and a time-lapse in the show and i am honoured to be showing alongside martin parr, paul graham and many other great photographers and artists. there will be a launch night on 18th october to coincide with 'the social: encountering photography' a month of photography shows in sunderland and the north east. ................................ 07.09.13 the guardian weekend magazine are running a double-page feature on the clothing recycled project in their 'fashion issue' today. you can also read the article on their website, here . ................................ 01.09.13 this weekend i ran a two-day photo booth for the southbank centre's 'south banquet' weekend as part of their summer-long festival of neighbourhood . some 500 people-or-more later, i now have quite some stitching to do, in order to create what might be the longest banquet photo ever? ................................ 28.08.13 i've just completed a summer-long commission in rye, working with the tilling green community and the local museum to create sunprint , pinhole and portrait photographs exploring the social history of rye for their project, women and children of rye. ................................ 28.07.13 i've just spent this weekend running a very hands-on photo booth that i designed entitled 'tall tales from the river lee' as part of the open east festival in the newly opened queen elizabeth olympic park. participants not only posed in the booth but held props, made waves and even took the photos!
